Dia De Los Muertos ( Day Of The Dead)

I love anything that is off beat, non-traditional or just plain fun. If you want to do something different and stand out from all the rest you have to be creative. I enjoy what I do and have been fortunate enough to have great support from family and friends on my business venture. The best part of it is expressing my art and creativity into an event that will be in the enjoyable memories of those I work with for years to come. I enjoy working with bold brides who take risk's and choose to add their flair or style to the most important day of their romantic lives.
Some brides do like the more traditional wedding decor and colors and no matter what your style, there are always ways to make it beautiful and memorable. I respect the brides who play it safe, but its the bold ones that catch my attention.

Dia De Los Muertos or Day Of The Dead has been around for more than 3000 years, when Spanish Conquistadors landed in what is now Mexico, they encountered natives practicing a ritual that seemed to mock death. The Aztecs used skulls to symbolize death and rebirth. Dia De Los Muertos is celebrated to this day in many places and are welcomed by those who believe their love ones spirit or soul will come back to visit during this month long ritual.

This bride decided to have her wedding day colors and theme with Day Of The Dead as an inspiration.

Now if you want to take it even further and do an engagement shoot or have some photos taken ahead of time to use for decor or save-the-date cards this is a great artistic shot!

Turquoise Wedding Decor By Vee Marie ..

I love bright colors and when I got the chance to help my cousin with her wedding I was so excited.

Her wedding was in Florida so I traveled to be with her and was very happy to enjoy the weather at the same time. My wedding had been just been one month before so I was still in "Bride Mode" which is allot like "Mother Mode" once you have been a bride or a mother you never really loose the sense and "know-how" of things.
She opted for fake flowers which allot of brides do to lower the cost of things. I created really nice pieces for her with her wedding colors, added some gems to her bouquet and ribbon. I created the bout's for the guys and all the other little details that tied the colors together. I also provided her with the linen to her event which made everything that more special for me.  Here are a close up of the items..

Thinking of having a turquoise wedding ? Here is a very popular color combo..  Great for summer or beach themed wedding.. Enjoy !
